PiCAN 2 provides CAN-Bus capability for the Raspberry Pi 2B, 3B and 3B+. It uses the Microchip MCP2515 CAN controller with MCP2551 CAN transceiver. Connection are made via DB9 or 3-way screw terminal. This board includes a switch mode power supply that powers the Pi as well.
It doesn't take much effort to install and you can do the programming in C or Python.
