The JOY-iT Explorer 500 Expansion Board for Raspberry Pi expansion board is a multifunctional interface board compatible with Raspberry Pi B+, 2B, 3B, that expands the functionality of your Pi.
The JOY-iT Explorer 500 Expansion Board for Raspberry Pi expansion board has the following functions:
- Pin-Header to put directly on the Raspberry Pi B+, 2B or 3B
- UART interface: you can easily connect UART modules like for example RS232, RS485, USB to UART (TTL-cable)
- 8x I/O interface: you can easily connect with I/O controlled modules
- SPI interface for SPI controlled modules
- I²C interface for I²C controlled modules
- LCD interface for HD44780 industrial standard LCD module
- USB to UART, converter with CP2102 chipset (mini USB port)
- Power LED
- 4x programmable LED
- 4x programmable buttons
- Potentiometer: control of contrast for LCD displays (point 6)
- RTC battery holder
- 32.768K quartz: RTC quartz
- CP2102: onboard USB to UART chip for debugging
- CP2102: Jumper for: on / off
- RTC: Jumper for: on / off
- User LEDs Jumper for: on / off (point 9)
- User keys Jumper for: on / off (point 10)
- It can be directly plugged onto the Raspberry.
