Worldwide regulations are changing rapidly and have an impact on the international shipments of orders. Our team is constantly following the latest developments and we will adjust the necessary communications in our shop accordingly.
We would like to briefly give you an update about how Elektor is handling the current coronavirus-related situation.
This October we moved into a new and ultramodern warehouse which gave us many more options to change strategies with regards to shipments. We now have multiple shippers we can work with, each with their own policies for different countries. But although we can serve our customers better, due to the new lockdowns and restrictions in many countries it is not all up to us and some changes may happen in the process. While we try to avoid wherever we can, this can still result in your order taking longer to arrive.
For individual questions please contact our customer service. As before our team continues to operate, although mostly from various home offices. You can still reach us by phone if needed, but we strongly encourage you to use e-mail (service@elektor.com). Doing so will enable us to handle each question in a timely manner.
Our online shop www.elektor.com is available to you 24/7. We are in constant contact with our suppliers, warehouse and shippers. We can until now still guarantee that your orders will ship reliably in the time stated on our webshop and we will choose to ship them with the most reliable shipper available for your region.
Obviously Elektor also offers great digital products that have no shipping involved, during these times we would like to offer our customers a 25% discount on the digital Elektor catalog by using the code HelpEachOther this way you can still enjoy your favorite reads without any delay.

Elektor's warehouse has become too small to facilitate the growth of its community webshops. Even, and perhaps especially during the Corona crisis, our shops continued to grow and we are therefore very excited that from October 1st, with many tens of thousands of products, we will be able to move into a new and ultramodern warehouse where we can serve our customers even better. On October 1st & 2nd, Elektor is moving to the new warehouse, this may cause a 1-2 day delay in your order.

On April 22, 2020, DHL — our main shipping partner — informed us about Coronavirus pandemic-related shipping and delivery issues affecting many countries outside of the EU. Although we have options in addition to DHL, none of the other possible providers have been able to offer a solution to this date. Obviously, we will continue to look for a solution for orders outside the EU. In the meantime, we have taken most of the affected countries out of the available list of countries to ship to.
Other international shipments may also have delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These can be caused by changes in the transport process (e.g., border controls), in international transport (e.g., discontinuation of flight connections previously used for the transport), and in the delivery in the destination country (e.g., protection regulations and quarantine measures).

As much as anyone, we have been very aware of the wellbeing of those we care about — at home, at work and around the world. Together we stand strong. More than 70% of Elektor’s team — editors, service staff, and even our some of our LABS employees — started working from home in March.
